Barclays Wealth Expands In Scotland With Pair Of Hires

Barclays Wealth has strengthened its Scottish team with the appointments of Laura Fox McMenamin to the newly-created position of head of business development and Mark McCue as a director.

Fox McMenamin was latterly in a similar role at RBS. In her new position, effective in June, she will support the teams in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Meanwhile, McCue was most recently working for Brewin Dolphin. In his new role, which begins in August, he will primarily be located in the firm's Aberdeen office.

The firm’s recruitment drive in Scotland has most recently included the hire of Chris Arbuthnott from Kleinwort Benson as a private banker in Aberdeen.

More appointments are said to be expected in the coming weeks for Glasgow and Edinburgh, according to a statement from the firm.

Barclays Wealth currently employs more than 1,800 staff in Scotland.
